Eskdale valley is an epic and crazy day out, plenty of waterfall jumps and pools to chill, even if you don't fancy a dip the walk is just as breath taking, I have made some amazing memories here, now I am sharing so you can do the same!

Parking

You can park at the bottom of the valley, there is some space on the small grass area. Please do not block any roads and be respectful. Parking is free. Google map -https://maps.app.goo.gl/xBKzVLgncuSfzqVo8

Route

Below is the OSmaps route to Eskdale Valley, this will take you just pass Tongue pot, at the bridge I suggest you take the left track that follow's the river, there is a few pools here, then head back down to the bridge and take the track back up to the right, my favorute waterfall is here then finish at Tongue pot.

OSmaps can be downloaded offline and used with no signal as you will not get any here.

Safety

Ensure you have 2-3 litres of water per person at a minimum.

Take plenty of snacks.

I advise wearing a wetsuit if you are in the water for a prolonged amount of time. Additionally, life jackets should be considered.

If you are taking a dip, ensure you have some warm clothing for afterwards.

mobile signal is limited/non-existent, so bare this in mind.

Pack a first aid kit.

Check the weather and ensure you are confident/have the skills to be safe.
