I think this has to be the best pools I have come across in the Lake district, with a striking emerald colour, it is absolutely breath-taking!. The walk up is just as impressive, it took us around 15 mins, it is a fairly gentle walk, quite boggy in areas. The first pool that you reach first is very deep, you are able to jump off the rock with no issues. The second pool is fairly shallow, however you can have so much fun messing around in the waterfalls, it was unreal! Both pools are right next to each other, so its perfect!

Parking

If you have visited Wastwater, you know parking can be tricky, here is the google map link of where we parked, if you can find anywhere near here, that will be ok.

Route

It is a fairly easy walk with a slight incline, the views are stunning back towards Wastwater, it can be boggy in areas, so pack those boots and spare socks! Or you will end up like me (pic below) Here is the full route on OS Maps - https://explore.osmaps.com/route/23486297/netherbeck-pools?lat=54.451631&lon=-3.301228&zoom=14.8646&style=Standard&type=2d

Google map location

Here is the links for the pools locations on google maps, so you can plan ahead, I would advise using the OSMaps route above to help with navigating.

Safety

Make sure you wear suitable footwear, boots and spare socks!

2 Litres of water min per person.

Know where you are going, use OSmaps.

The water is cold, ensure you are comfortable and take your time.

Enjoy this Lake District Gem!!
